For the sites that have Centering Parenting up and running, do you go for 1 year or 2? Do you or can you leave it up to the group if they'd like to continue for years 1-2? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Patricia, the CenteringParenting curriculum covers 9 visits over the first 24 months; this follows the AAP's Bright Futures periodicity recommendations. It will be interesting to hear directly from the practices how they are implementing the model to meet the needs of their patients.

There were some sites on the CenteringParenting National Network call earlier this week that have modified the scheduled and are doing 12 or 18 months, not the full 24. It is indeed up to the site if they want to do the full 24 months or not. The recording should be posted here soon!

And there was one site on Tuesday's call from TX that has adapted the CenteringParenting curriculum to extend to the 3 year well-child visit and another in CO that will be celebrating the kids' 10th birthdays together in February! The new curriculum was designed to be flexible, so you can adjust to meet the needs of your patient population.
