schreelj Janet Schreelj at Lifestages in Dayton OH is looking for ideas on how to provide child care and transportation for their CenteringPregnancy moms. Daydreamers, if money were no option, what would help your moms get over these common barriers to getting to group? For child care, would it be a stipend, in-clinic child care, something else? For transport, would it be tokens/fare cards, shared taxis, a small Centering bus hired to pick up and drop off moms? I found a couple of blog posts from sarahck about their child care journey in Greenville SC: centeringpregnancy.ghs.org/blog/in-the-news-again/centeringpregnancy.ghs.org/blog/child-care/I love Sarah's blog so much. If you're not already following her, do it now!

We highly promote Medicaid free transportation at our first OB visits since most of our patients have Medicaid. Don't know about other sites/ if Medicaid in other states does free transportation but it is very helpful here!
We also want to start childcare and would like to start by reaching out to the local colleges to see if they have child development students who may need contact hours that would volunteer!
