In reviewing their annual report to CHI I was so impressed with the following item I just had to share it:
The (CenteringCounts) Health Outcomes Summary is an outstanding tool, to the point that we backtracked as much
data as the EMR allowed, to the program’s inception in 2008. To date: Methodist Dallas Golden Cross Clinic has recorded 811 outcomes.
Methodist Dallas Medical Center implemented CenteringPregnancy to address the unusually high rates of preterm birth (18%) in the zip codes that define our service area.

- 5% of babies born with low birth weight
- 1% of babies born with very low birth weight
- 6% of babies admitted to NICU
- 65% breastfeeding at discharge
- 74% with vaginal birth
- 1% VBAC
- 19% C-section
