I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to everyone who attended the consortium meeting yesterday. What a fantastic and energetic session! Tons of great information was shared about site successes and challenges. - Dr. Jaqueline Grant, former Southwest District Health Director for the Georgia Department of Public Health and a leader in the Georgia Centering Workgroup, now brings her expertise to North Carolina Centering Consortium as a fellow at the UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Welcome Dr. Grant!
- State Perinatal Outreach Coordinator Kate Berrien gave a great overview of Medicaid efforts including a forthcoming data collection effort to report on Centering outcomes among Medicaid patients.
- Incoming CHI CEO Angie Truesdale was in attendance (her first Centering consortium meeting) and discussed some of CHI's strategic vision and initiatives.
- The educational session on CenteringConnects yielded nine new members to this NC consortium forum. We look forward to their future contributions.
