Indiana Centering Consortium April 21 2016.pdf (550.6 KB)
Please feel free to add to my notes. I will send out a Doodle poll to schedule our next meeting soon.
Participants
Carla Chance - IPHCA
Amy Davis – Anthem BCBS
David Haas – Eskenazi Health
Amber Melchior – Eskenazi Health
Tanya Munroe – CHI
Stephanie Nader – Community Health Network, The Jane Pauley Community Health Center
Jeena Siela – March of Dimes
Notes
Amber has a meeting with the Eskenazi billing dept. on May 4th to discuss logistics for 2016 retroactive enhanced reimbursement for Centering from MDWise.
Amy encouraged the group to use the term “payment-for-value” rather than enhanced reimbursement.
1-day Advanced Facilitation training – Eskenazi may have 7 or 8 facilitators interested, this is enough for CHI to bring a 15 person (or 25 if there is even more interest) workshop to Indiana. Tanya will solicit a headcount via email & CenteringConnects from the other sites. Next step would then be to set a date and identify a venue.
2-day Basic Facilitation training – the IPHCA will be sponsoring a 25-person workshop in the fall. We discussed the possibility of scheduling one or both around the time of the Labor of Love Infant Mortality meeting Oct. 17th in Indianapolis if that would be convenient.
Clarification from CHI: Basic Facilitation training is the only requirement for Centering facilitators. Advanced Facilitation training is strongly recommended for experienced facilitators, but not required at this time.
To further efforts to obtain payment-for-value, the consortium should make recommendations to state Medicaid and the MCOs for what billing codes to add. We will have more information to share on codes after the May 4th Eskenazi meeting.
