CenteringPregnancy is changing the way patients receive their prenatal care. Centering patients spend 10x more time with their provider than those who opt for traditional care. They are also better prepared for labor, delivery and to care for their infant. The evidence base to support CenteringPregnancy continues to grow. Check the recent publication: Group Prenatal Care and Emergency Room Utilization by James Marton, Jessica C. Smith, Emily C. Heberlein Ana Laboy, Jessie Britt and Amy H. Crockett. This is exciting. This is no surprise to those involved in Centering, based on our lived experiences, but it's affirming to see some data. Both from a patient experience perspective and from a financial perspective, it's so great for pregnant people to be able to avoid unnecessary emergency department visits.
