I work at a: Educational Institution
I am interested in Centering because: it is changing the lives of families and fixing a broken healthcare system.

Here is a great story that was left on our Facebook page from a provider in Milwaukee, WI.
"Just wanted to share a quick story about a Centering mom: She was in a group that got cancelled half-way through because our midwifery clinic closed due to funding issues. Patients and providers (including myself, I was the RN at this clinic) were devastated about the closing.
But this particular patient transferred to a different clinic, one where I eventually ended up working, so I got to connect with her again right before delivery. We were talking about which method of birth control she planned on using and I was surprised when she said nexplanon, as I remembered how skeptical she was about this method during the session 4 discussion on contraception.
But she said she made her choice that day in Centering and remembered the great discussion we had that day. Same went for breastfeeding. When she started Centering she said she wasn't interested at all in breastfeeding, yet when I saw her again at the new clinic she totally surprised me by saying her breastfeeding goal was 6 months! All thanks to the Centering discussions!
So it definitely works! I'm hopeful we can implement Centering at my new clinic too, I miss it!!"
