Q: Are we supposed to count induced preterm in our preterm birth rate? If not, how are we to report that patient without it affecting our preterm birth rate?
A: While you can indicate that labor was induced when entering outcomes for a mom, the preterm birth calculation only uses the due date and delivery date so that delivery would be counted as preterm.

Tanya,
Can we change the preterm weeks to 36+6? They have changed the standards to preterm, early term, and term. I was wondering this very same thing and was planning on asking. Thanks for the info!

Heidi Currently the system doesn't drill down into what period of prematurity but if that is important in the future we are taking suggestions here!
