I am working with a health department whose first group started with 7 participants but 3 had to be tranferred out for care when they became high risk (although two continued to come to group, just for the education/social support). So, how should that get documented in CenteringCounts--should she include all of their birth outcomes or just the ones who were not transferred? What are the criteria for who should and shouldn't be counted as a group member?

We don't dictate this - it's up to the site who they consider a Centering patient but I would personally encourage them to count all women who come to group (whether they are billing for that woman's prenatal care or not) as participants. They certainly contribute to the group dynamic and support and are likely benefiting from those aspects of Centering as well. Thanks for asking!
