I was at a Basic CenteringPregnancy Facilitator Training in Atlanta, Georgia and was told that Georgia has approved for Medicaid Enhancement for Pregnancy group care. Does anyone know what the bill number or title is? Also, when might this be implemented? Thanks for any information you might share.

Hi Barbara, I wish we did. We've heard the same rumors but have not been able to confirm through DCH or any of our partners on the ground in GA.

Oh, thanks. Would I contact DCH or some other agency to find out more information?

DCH is the correct place to start - I hope you can find someone there who can give you a knowledgeable response.

Last week I heard that it is approved, and there is work being done behind the scenes to figure out a process for rolling it out. So it is there, but not yet available for anyone to access. My suggestion is that we all keep our ears open and in the meantime, do what we can to build Centering into a robust model to serve the moms in GA!
