Just to clarify... am I understanding from the document describing enrollment that the programs applying for it should have 120 pregnant clients? Our office delivers about 100/year. Likewise we are uncertain how many of those would be willing to do group sessions, especially the Amish population who are very private about their pregnancies. Does this prevent us from being a qualifying site?

Hello Yolanda,
Thank you for asking, patient volume and who is considered "eligible" for Centering usually needs some discussion. We recommend that group size be 8 - 12 women for optimal group dynamic and productivity, and that the women be grouped by due date month (or closer) so the discussions at each session are relevant to where they are in their pregnancy. Hence the 120 women per year for Centering. For a practice like yours with 100 deliveries per year, even if you went "all in" for Centering, it would be difficult to create appropriately-sized cohorts, even if you stretched the due date range. So while this certainly doesn't disqualify you from applying, we will be looking at patient volume when reviewing proposals and scoring practices that can reach more women higher overall.
For CenteringParenting we recommend 6 - 8 mom/baby pairs in a similar age range.
Please let us know if you have other questions!
