Incentives for patients attending Centering groups

Oh Marena you are so sweet, I appreciate you saying that. I can only post things that I personally have experienced and hopefully others can take tips from that, as I do to others posts ect. At our clinic because I am the most experienced at Centering, I took on the role as Centering Lead Coordinator without thinking twice, we have brought it a long way including getting accredited by CHI in January, I am also working on getting the other co-facilitators more excited about Centering, so I have decided to put together a Calming basket for someone to win, I have gotten a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage, some facial masks, different kinds, some candles, bath bombs, some tea's and a few other things, I put these things all in a cute basket and I will display it for the month of March, every time someone recruits a patient to Centering where we know they do want to do Centering instead of just thinking about it, the person who recruits gives me a patient label which only has patients name and medical record number so I know who the patient is, they put their name on that label because they recruited the patient and I am going to put these labels in a jar all month. The last working day of March I will draw someones name out of there. I have included and invited the front office staff as well as the nurses who have patient contact who could possibly discuss Centering with the patient, then of course the medical assistants and even the providers. I of course am not eligible and neither will our lead midwife, but we have new staff, new midwives and we are accredited ( lol, I know I said that but I am pretty dang proud to say that) so I want to get the buzz going. All over the clinic. One of our newer midwives came to me yesterday in clinic and handed me a sticker and told me which group this patient was going to sign up for and she goes " My name goes into the drawing right" I said of course, since its only the 3rd of March I told her she was the first. Today she txt me and told me how excited she was about this gift basket raffle and thought it was a great idea. Nothing wrong with some good old fashion competition. I will do this for a few months, each month being a different theme. But centered around self care, ect because it is so important. Pretty fun stuff!!! 

We shall see how many patients we recruit now. lol When I first started at my job now our groups were anywhere from 3-7 patients and now we have groups starting out at 10-11 and growing from there since they can join up until session 3. I will report back to let you know how this goes, gotta keep Centering fresh and fun and current and keep everyone involved from the front office to scheduling to back office to providers! TEAM WORK!!!!

I mentioned your post about doing a spa day at our facilitator meeting and a few people are really excited about doing this with their groups, it sounds fun!  What types of activities do you do at your spa days?

We talked about having fancy fruit infused water, having relaxing music playing with dim lights, and a massage circle. We had talked about aromatherapy and having an oil diffuser with lavender oil, but were  worried about sensitivities to smell.  I appreciate any ideas you can share.
