Hello Ximena, and anyone else wondering about workshops! We are making decisions about whether to move forward with workshops 30 days in advance. As of today, we are still planning to proceed with any events listed on our website, but final decisions will be subject to the state's guidelines for in-person gatherings as well as an appropriate number of participants registered for the event. I've verified that all workshop notifications for June should have gone out. Howver, if you or any of your colleagues is registered for a workshop taking place in less than 30 days and have not heard from CHI regarding the status, please notify our Practice Service team through this form. These inquiries will be top priority and you'll receive a response as soon as possible, usually within a few hours.

Hello!
Any news on the Basic Facilitation Workshop being offered virtually?
Would CHI possibly consider allowing a Senior Facilitator to "soft-train" a nurse who was supposed to take the Basic Facilitation workshop in July? We are offering Virtual Centering to our patients, and would like to add the nurse on to the Centering team.
Thanks, Helen

Thanks, Helen Hello Helen! We hope to have a virtual basic workshops ready for registration in the 4th quarter of this year (which feels like it is fast approaching). One good strategy for orienting a new facilitator before they have the opportunity to attend a workshop is to have them be a "third" and participate in the group process with guidance from your experienced facilitators, CHI materials and resources on the portal. That is great news that your new hire will join the Centering team : )

Hi Tanya,
Thank you for your response. That is very helpful! I'm sure the nurse would be happy to participate as a third facilitator until the workshop is available. Looking forward to hearing further about the upcoming virtual Basic Facilitation workshop!
Stay well! Helen

I work at a: Healthcare Facility
I am interested in Centering because: I feel it is the best way to get pregnancy care! Especially seeing how teens are with the model!
